Poetry: A Silent Conversation

Words too heavy to speak

Only to be felt

To be shared by the warmth of four hands and the steady beat of one breath

The weight of compassion settles on skin, making the body its home

An air of melancholic acceptance grows, filling any space left between

Our past pales to a placid gray,

Yet this embrace remains etched in color

A silent conversation between head and heart Through an act so simple
